Wrangler Program

Wranglers help with saddling, exercising, cleaning, guiding trail rides, and helping customers. Must be willing & hard working with a good attitude – pleasant personality, good communication skills, accept correction, good work ethics, and dependable transportation. There is a time commitment. Most wranglers have taken lessons here or have been in our homeschool program.


Requirements for 1st level:

Saddle in 10min. – clean coral in 10min.

Know all basic commands

Comfortable at walk, trot, and lope/canter

Can ride all horses

Know trails – show perimeter trail

Maintenance rides

Some arena skills

Round penning skills

Requirements – all of level 1, plus

Starting to teach and correct riders/customers

Arena skills, walk, trot, lope, leg yields, jumps, and transitions

Higher commands

Good communication skills

Good seat & hands

English & Western

Requirements – all of level 1 & 2 plus,

Training level, can teach a horse basic commands

Can correct & retrain horse's bad behaviors

Can handle, bucking, rearing, spooking, and spirit
